Hello All!
It's been a little while since I've written about anything other than my weight loss so here's a little update.
We are so thankful for everything that God has blessed us with. I am especially grateful that we are all in good health. Trinity has not had any problems with asthma for several months now. It took a little while to get things under control but God is faithful. She hasn't used her inhaler in months and we have not had to give her any breathing treatments at all this summer. Taurus recovered well from his surgery in April. He has maintained a healthy blood pressure and it not having to deal with all of the headaches that he endured for quite some time.
Trinity is in kindergarten now and is coming along very well. Being in Pre-K last year really helped prepare her for this school year. She loves her teacher, Mrs. King. They joke that Trinity is really her daughter since they share a last name. It really makes Trinity laugh, especially since her teacher has blonde hair and blue eyes. She's very enthusiastic about learning and the kids really pick up on that. We are very fortunate that Trinity has such a great teacher.
Madison is in school too. She attends Kingdom Kids Preschool, where I work. She loves it there. It's so cute to see her interact with the other kids. Although, I have to carefully sneak a peek. If she sees me, it's all over. I have to be extra careful to stay quiet in the hallways, while passing her room and not allow her to see me. She is something! She plays with the other kids well but she has her moments everyday when she just doesn't want to be bothered and she needs some quiet time. So her teachers let her sit in their rocking chair and she just observes her friends and most days she takes a little cat nap. She's wasn't quite ready to give up her morning nap. She is also quite the little princess. In fact, she refuses to sit on the floor at school unless she chooses to do so. When the class goes to music or they have circle-time, Madison insists on sitting in a chair. All of her other friends are quite content sitting on the floor but not Ms. Madison. No, No! So they accommodate her by bringing in a chair for her to sit in. The little stinker!
I am really enjoying my job. The kids are great. However, we know that 2 yr. olds like to challenge us. I'm okay with being challenged. My kids challenge me everyday so what's 15 more? LOL! They teach me to be patient. It really humbles you. The staff and directors are great! I really feel at home there. As you know, I am still on this weight-loss journey. It's a roller-coaster sometimes but it's so worth it. I not only feel a huge physical difference but I am experiencing positive results in all aspects of my life. I am so grateful for all that God has blessed me with.
Taurus is well, despite being laid-off from his job. He has such a peace about him these days. He's not worried about anything, or at least he doesn't show it. It's very encouraging. He's looking for work but in the meantime, he's enjoying more time with the family and he's taken on a small business venture. We're making and selling these cool graphic t-shirts with crosses on them. People kept asking us where we got them. So we decided to sell them. It's been pretty profitable so far. He's even thinking about launching a website soon. Who knows where it will lead. "Mad Glory" just might be the next big thing. I'll keep you posted on where this goes. It's very exciting.
Well, I guess that's it for now. We just put the kids to bed so I'm going to snuggle up with Taurus and watch the rest of the Cowboys/Giants game. I hope the Cowboys blow 'em out of the water. We'll see what happens. Have a blessed remainder!
